Amanda J Lambert



Amanda is an emerging artist who is based in Dundee, she was born in 1987 in Perth, Scotland. In 2009 she attended Dundee college to obtain an HNC in Contemporary Art Practice before going on to study Art and Media at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design and graduated with a BA (hons) in Fine Art in 2014.
Whilst studying in Dundee Amanda also did voluntary work as an art instructor within the NHS Tayside mental health services at the Young Peoples Unit in Dundee, working with young people between the ages of 12-18. Presently Amanda has a similar role as Art Instructor at the Dundonald Center in Dundee which is part of the out-patient, adult mental health services.
Though originally favouring expressive  landscape painting inspired by her surroundings growing up in Perthshire Amanda now predominantly works with abstraction. She specialises in painting and drawing preferring to work in water based paints, in particular acrylics, due to their flexibility as a medium.
